Whether you are a student, a fellow researcher or simply interested in our work, we at the CENTRE FOR INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY AND POLICY RESEARCH IN+ invite you to explore our website to find out more about who we are and what we do
Researchers at IN+ recently launched an urban sustainability and socio-economic data explorer and visualization platform that makes available a national public database on energy and sustainability of the various economic sectors and demand vectors.
IN+ is part of the newly created Ibero-American Electro-Mobility Research Network (RIEMOV), funded by the Asociación Universitaria Iberoamericana de Postgrado. The aim of this network is to develop collaborative research and dissemination activities among 18 research groups in 13 countries on the topic of Electric Mobility.
Two calls are open for the attribution of Research Grants for Doctoral Degrees, financed by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), under the Consortium of Engineering Schools (CEE). The deadline for applications is October 31st.
There is currently a lot of attention on greenhouse gas emissions as a result of the serious environmental problems associated with them, but are we starting from the end? Are we "looking at the chimney" instead of focusing on the processes that converted the raw materials and gave rise to those emissions?
The European Comission had an open consultation on a EU action plan on the digitalisation of the energy sector. Diana Vieira Fernandes, researcher and PhD Candidate at the Laboratory of Industrial Ecology and Sustainability at IN+, made some contributions with special focus on main regulatory issues, from energy-related directives, as well as the new proposals on data and AI regulation.
The injection of green hydrogen and biomethane is currently seen as the next step towards the decarbonization of the gas sector in several countries. This paper evaluates impacts on gas transmission and distribution, and conducts an interchangeability analysis, supported by one-dimensional Cantera simulations.
Impact of local energy markets integration in power systems layer: A comprehensive review is an article published at Applied Energy Journal, co-authored by Diana Neves in the framework of a collaborative research by the Global Observatory on P2P, on the impact of local energy markets on the grid.
Centre for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research
We are a cross-disciplinary research venue, acting to integrate scientific research in technology, innovation and public policy, striving to promote the sustainable application of science. Institutionally, IN+ operates at Técnico Lisboa and is a member of the associate laboratory LARSyS.
Our activities brings together researchers from various research areas, often called laboratories, who join efforts to achieve a sustainable society, by cooperating with industry and fostering a scientific culture in our spaces, fellows and communities.
