In the framework of the EU Mission “Climate Neutral and Smart Cities”, the Centre for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research (IN+) is looking for specialists in Sustainable Transport & Urban Mobility.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The candidate should possess general knowledge about the design, planning and regulations related to low-carbon transport systems as well as smart mobility solutions (ITS). Furthermore, he/she should have experience with integrated transport emissions modelling. Lastly, the candidate should be willing to engage in capacity-building activities and support municipalities with data analysis to assess the cost-benefits of climate actions.
We are open to receive applications from candidates with a master’s degree in Urban Mobility or similar programs, as well as Energy/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering with a focus on sustainable transport. Experience with transport modelling and GIS are a plus. The candidate should be proficient in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
YOUR ROLE
The candidate will be part of the ‘Industrial Ecology and Sustainability Laboratory' group which aims to contribute to sustainable cities through research and knowledge about decarbonization strategies and urban metabolism. Furthermore, he/she will be part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary team dedicated to climate neutrality and capacity-building at local and regional level.
The position will be full-time, starting (ideally) in February 2024.
