Ricardo Assunção completed his PhD in Physics in 2022 from the Freie Universität Berlin and previously had graduated in Technological Chemistry (Bsc 2012) and Chemistry (Msc 2014) in the University of Lisbon.
He joined IN+, Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research in 2023 where he currently works as post-doctoral researcher.
His research focusses on the industrial production of advanced biofuels from renewable sources within the scope of the M-ECO2 PRR project.
In the project context, Ricardo is performing process simulations on the production of diverse E-fuels and studying the economic viability of the liquification of molecular oxygen, subproduct of the water electrolysis.
He is a co-author in publications in high impact factor peer-reviewed journals such as Nature and Nature communications.
