Paulo Maia
Paulo Maia de Loureiro. PhD in Engineering and Public Policy by the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) of the University of Lisbon, since January 2024, and with an academic background in the humanities—a Master in Comparative Studies and a degree in Artistic Studies. Doctorate researcher at the IN+ Center for Innovation, Technology, and Policy Research, a research unit of the Associate Laboratory LARSyS. His main scientific interests fall within the scope of Science, Technology, and Society Studies (STS), namely: science and higher education management; science policy analysis; policy and politics; science communication; transparency; academic freedom; and the politicization of science. Uses mixed research methods such as social network analysis, text mining analysis, qualitative interviewing, and systems analysis. Has published articles in international peer-reviewed journals since 2018.
