Lindsey Wuisan


Research Assistant Industrial Ecology and Sustainability

After finishing a MSc in Environmental Sciences (specialised in Environmental Policy and Management) at Wageningen University, Lindsey Wuisan started her career as a policymaker at the Dutch Ministry of the Environment, contributing to the first policy programme on circular economy. After moving to Portugal in 2016, she founded the environmental NGO Circular Economy Portugal, aiming to create a society without waste. In 2018, Lindsey worked as a programme manager at ECOS, contributing to EU standards for e-waste recycling and ISO standards on circular economy. In 2020, she worked at Recycling Netwerk Benelux as strategic manager for the Plastic Transition, aiming to phase out single-use plastics. In 2022/2023, Lindsey contributed to the development of the second national Action Plan for a Circular Economy in Portugal and was a lecturer at Técnico for the specialisation course on Circular Economy.
