Eliane Cassoma

Eliane Cassoma holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering (Energy Branch) from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP). Her master’s thesis focused on the feasibility and efficiency of CO2 capture and utilization systems, combining process simulation and techno-economic assessment using Aspen Plus.
Since 2025, she has been a Research Assistant at IN+, Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research (IST-ID), where she works on bio-based and sustainable chemical processes. Her work includes developing integrated process models for biofuels production systems, with an emphasis on techno-economic and environmental feasibility assessment.
