Edgar Caetano Fernandes is a professor at IST, in Mechanical Eng Department, and a researcher member of the Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research (IN+). His research focuses on Lean Combustion Technology with emphasis on mathematical/experimental studies of flame ignition processes, thermoacoustic instabilities and combustion spectroscopy.
