What human pyramid? Interview with Manuel Heitor 10/09/2024
In the summer of 2023, journalists Isabel Leiria and Virgílio Azevedo interviewed Manuel Heitor about the contents of the book Que Pirâmide Humana? (What human pyramid?), published by Imprensa Nacional and which will be presented to the public today, September 10.
The interview complements the book in terms of form and content, including an analysis of various topics that are absolutely critical to understanding the evolution of the way knowledge has been appropriated socially and politically in Portugal. It naturally includes the identification of public policy options considered to be structuring, as well as decisive advances, but also obstacles and challenges that persist with regard to research, innovation and advanced training activities for the population in Portugal in the European context.
