Stand Up For Science to Host Nationwide Rallies on March 7th 07/03/2025

Since being launched in mid-February, Stand Up for Science has transformed into a US national movement with international support. Their primary goal is defending science as a public good and central pillar of social progress.

On March 7th, the movement will host official events mobilizing scientists and science advocates in Washington DC, New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, and 28 other cities around the United States.

Everyone unable to attend an official rally is encouraged to participate in a nationwide walkout at their campuses or workplaces. An interactive map tracking the locations of satellite walkouts is available on Stand Up For Science website.

Stand Up for Science is a grassroots campaign led by five early-career scientists (Colette Delawalla, Sam Goldstein, Emma Courtney, JP Flores, and Leslie Berntsen) and supported by hundreds of volunteers.
