Updated every year, the ‘World’s Top 2% Scientists List’ is a list compiled by researchers at Stanford University, in collaboration with the publisher Elsevier and the citation database Scopus. This list identifies the most influential scientists in various fields of knowledge based on citation metrics, using a standardised approach to rank researchers. The list features the names of the 200,000 most cited scientists worldwide, representing the top 2%.
