Last week took place in Oeiras the annual meeting of the Transports Study Group (Grupo de Estudos em Transportes - GET). This group meets annually since 2003 to disseminate R&D activities in the areas of transport and mobility in Portugal.
"The GET is a unique opportunity to share knowledge. It is an informal event, especially focused on PhD students to gain confidence in presenting their work" said Patrícia Baptista, one of the organizers. "For researchers and professors, GET allows you to see old friends, but mainly to renew ideas and encourage new collaborations."
The 19th edition of the annual GET meeting took place on the 6th and 7th February and featured more than 20 scientific presentations, industrial presentations by Parques Tejo, Transportes Metropolitanos de Lisboa and Transtejo, in addition to the opening by the councilor for Mobility and Transport of the Oeiras City Council, Joana Batista.
