IN+ researchers distinguished with the Young Energy Efficiency Researcher Award 2026 26/02/2026

IN+ researchers Diogo Couceiro and João Victor Costa were distinguished with the Young Energy Efficiency Researcher Award 2026, in Austria, for their work "A decision-support dashboard for energy community optimisation", supervised by Diana Neves.

This is a strategic tool for planning and unlocking new Energy Communities, which provides an assessment of the incremental impact of new technologies, a direct comparison of different business models and trading mechanisms, and a side-by-side visualization of KPIs.

"We are proud of the recognition this work has received and its potential impact on democratizing energy", the authors stated. "By enabling collective and citizen-driven energy actions, this tool directly supports the clean energy transition".
