FCT Individual Scientific Employment Stimulus Competition 03/02/2021
The 4th edition of the Individual Scientific Employment Stimulus Competition is open from January 29, 2021 and until 5PM (Lisbon time) of February 26, 2021, with 400 vacancies for contracts.
The Individual Contest is aimed at doctorates of any nationality or stateless persons with a background in any scientific area who wish to develop their scientific research or technological development activity in Portugal.
Applicants must previously identify the host institution where they will develop their research plan. The selected doctorates are directly hired by the host institution identified, through FCT funding.
The following reference categories are considered:
- Junior Researcher: PhDs for 5 years or less, with reduced post-doctoral research experience or without scientific curriculum after a PhD in the scientific area to which they are applying.
- Assistant Researcher: PhDs for more than 5 years, with relevant curriculum in the scientific area to which they are applying, but with limited scientific independence.
- Principal Researcher: PhDs for more than 5 years, with relevant curriculum in the scientific area to which they are applying, demonstrating scientific independence in the last 3 years.
- Coordinating researcher: PhDs for more than 5 years, holding the title of qualified or aggregated in Portugal, with a high merit curriculum in the scientific area to which they are applying, demonstrating scientific independence and with evidence of leadership in the scientific area to which they are applying.
The competition is open from January 29, 2021 until 17:00 (Lisbon time) on February 26, 2021.
The period for the association of host institutions with each individual application is from March 1, 2021 until 17:00, Lisbon time, on March 19, 2021.
Applications are submitted electronically, in English, through the electronic platform to be made available in due course.
