The case of the Portuguese Higher Education and its impact on regional competitiveness

IN+ is part of E-University, a project funded by FCT with the purpose of exploring the entrepreneurial activity of the Portuguese public universities and polytechnic institutes and assess their impact in regional dynamics. Thus we invite all colleagues to participate in this study and to answer the following questionnaire:

Has your university given you the tools to implement your project?

Universities are currently key players in a knowledge-based economy and, therefore, are expected to play an active role in promoting regional economic development. For this reason, the project seeks to assess the impact of universities' entrepreneurial orientation in the University-Company cooperation and in the regional competitiveness. All Portuguese public universities and polytechnic institutes will be studied based on the feedback of three distinct groups: students, researchers, teachers and collaborators.

With researchers from GOVCOPP (University of Aveiro) and from the Faculty of Economy of the University of Porto, researchers from IN+ / IST-ID are part of the E-University multidisciplinary team.
