Book launch session for ‘O Cidadão Sem Sombra’ (The Citizen Without a Shadow) by João Ventura 24/02/2026

On February 24, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., João Ventura's book “O Cidadão Sem Sombra” (The Citizen Without a Shadow) will be launched.

The event will take place in the meeting room of the Central Building on the Alameda campus. Professor Henrique Silveira de Oliveira, professor in the Department of Mathematics, will present the book.

João Ventura is a retired researcher and professor at IN+. He conducted research in the field of forest and urban fires, participating in several national and European projects. Since his retirement, he has completed a master's degree in Science Communication and is the author of several books and short stories, being represented in various anthologies published in Portugal and Brazil.
