How can municipalities, financial institutions, policymakers and businesses work together to accelerate climate investment at the local level? This is the central question driving the 2nd International Conference on Cidades pelo Clima.
Under the theme “Delivering Climate Neutrality – Business, Finance & Collective Action”, the conference will bring together around 200 leaders from academia, finance, business, civil society and public policy at the Beato Innovation District, in Lisbon, on the 2nd of July, for a day of high-level debate and action-oriented dialogue.
The programme combines keynote addresses with thematic panels on the defining challenges of urban climate transition, from unlocking municipal investment and blended finance mechanisms, to advancing local climate pacts and mobilising private capital for the urban transition.
The conference is organized by IN+ – Center Innovation, Technology, Policy Research at the Instituto Superior Técnico – and the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, this year integrating the Lisbon Sustainability Week.
