The International Symposia on Applications of Laser and Imaging Techniques to Fluid Mechanics, often referred to as the LISBON SYMPOSIA, provides an opportunity for researchers and industry professionals to connect and share new developments in laser applications, fluid mechanics, and optical techniques relevant to these fields. 

For over 40 years, the symposium has provided a platform for the exchange of ideas regarding the development of advanced flow measurement techniques and the latest applications in the field. Recently, the integration of imaging devices and image acquisition techniques has been pivotal in advancing time-resolved laser imaging techniques, which enable precise measurements of complete, instantaneous fields and vectors.

The conference program includes four parallel oral sessions featuring research papers and keynote lectures. An exhibition runs alongside these sessions, bringing together world-leading manufacturers of laser and imaging equipment for fluid flow research. A plenary session featuring our exhibitors is planned to acquaint attendees with the latest laser-based techniques developed for fluid flow research.
