PhD Candidate Industrial Ecology and Sustainability

Manuel is a Mexican PhD candidate in the SELECT+ Erasmus Mundus Program working with the IMT Atlantique in Nantes, France and the IST here in Lisboa, Portugal. He finished his bachelors in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the UASLP, México in 2011 and his Masters in Energy Engineering at the UNAM, México in 2015. He focuses his research in the application of Network Theory in the Energy Sector and is currently working with the implementation of ICT’s in District Heating for Smart Thermal Networks. He has experience in the implementation of sustainable practices in isolated communities as well as in urban environments and brings his concern for a better future into his research.
