Application Process
1. How can I apply?
Students interested in applying to the IN+ Summer School should complete an online form until May 12, 2019, 23:59 GMT, providing contact and research details, such as e-mail, name, affiliation, degree, professional background, and the following documents:
- Your abridged CV, with a maximum of 2 pages
- Your motivation letter with a maximum of 500 words
- Proof of university enrolment in the academic year 2018/2019

Any personal information you provide for administrative purposes (including payment processing) will be covered by European legislation on data protection and handled accordingly.
2. I have been selected to be a IN+ Summer School participant. How should I register?
To participate in the IN+ Summer School, you must complete the payment procedure. Payment must be made through bank transfer, and a proof – e.g. a screenshot of payment – should be sent to summerschool@in3.tecnico.ulisboa.pt until May 31 (Early bird), or until June 9, 2019 (regular fee).
Our bank details and payment process will be sent directly to all accepted participants via e-mail.
Our fees for 2019 are:
- Early bird 250 euros
- Regular Registration 200 euros
>> Sales Tax (VAT) is included in our registration fees.
Certificate
3. Do I receive a certificate of participation in the IN+ Summer School?
Yes, you will receive an attendance certificate provided by the IN+ research center.
Logistics
4. What is included in your fee?
Our fee consists on the following components:
- Course participation and materials
- Wi-Fi on campus
- Meals, namely coffee-breaks, and lunches during the event
- One opening night welcome drinks and one summer school dinner
What is not included in the fee:
- Transportation to and from the event location
- Dinners, except the social event
- Optional touristic tour - apr. 20 euro per tour (Sintra hiking and visiting of the castle)
- Personal medical insurance >> If you are a European citizen, you may consider requesting a European Health Insurance Card
5. I am a foreign student. Do I need a VISA?
Generally, you do if you are not a holder of an EU/EEA/Swiss passport (or enrolled full-time at a European institution during the 2018/19 academic year). Regardless, please check visa requirements in due time before you leave.

Policies
6. Do you have a refund policy?
Yes. You can request a full-refund minus the bank transfer fees before June 9, 2019.
After that date, we will retain 75% of the payment to pay for services acquired for the participants, such as dinner reservations, scheduled field trip, all of which must be acquired in advance.
7. What is your data protection policy?
Any personal information you provide for administrative purposes (including payment processing) will be covered by European legislation on data protection and handled accordingly.
Any images or videos taken during the IN+ Summer School will be used for communication and dissemination purposes only and provided that we have due permission from our participants.
You will be able to manage your permission in the Application Form.
Other
8. Do you cater to special needs or preferences?
Yes, we do. We will consider mobility limitations, food restrictions, and any other kind of circumstances we need to account for during your stay, on the condition of timely communication. These details will be explicitly asked for the application form.

9. Where will the Summer School take place?
