Application Process


Application process opens on March 25 and closes May 12, 2019, 23:59 GMT (Lisbon Time).

Submit an online application until May 12, 2019.   Access the application form here.

Shortlisted applicants can pay the Early Bird Fee between May 18 and May 31, 2019. Or, the regular fee between June 1, 2019 and June 9, 2019

Pack your bag and join us in Lisbon between July 14 and July 19, 2019!

 

STEP 1: How should you submit your online application?

The Urban Analytics, IN+ SUMMER SCHOOL welcomes PhD students and advanced Master students who would like to deepen their understanding and skills of data analysis on urban analytics, including the use of tools such as geographic information systems (e.g. ArcGis), programming in Python, the energy-in-buildings analytical tool (e.g. EnergyPlus) and an urban mobility tool.

Applications should be made through an online form where applicants are asked for their contact details, short biography, professional skills and research interests. Apart from the application form, the applicants are required to provide:

  1. Updated CV (max. 2 pages)
  2. Motivation letter (max. 500 words)
  3. Proof of current university enrollment (either as a department-provided statement, or a screenshot of the student’s online account, or a scan of the student card).

STEP 2: Notification of acceptance and Payment details

The accepted applicants will be notified of acceptance by May 17, 2019. The payment details will be provided by personal message to the selected applicants.

Please complete payment through bank transfer and send the proof of payment to: summerschool@in3.tecnico.ulisboa.pt.

The Early bird fees are accepted if payment is made until May 19, 2019.

The final date for the payments is June 9, 2019.

Applicants who are not holders of an EU/EEA/Swiss passport (or enrolled full-time at a European institution during the 2018/19 academic year) and require an invitation letter or other legal document to attend the summer school, please contact us directly.

STEP 3: Arrival and start of the SUMMER SCHOOL

Closer to the beginning date of July 14, 2019, we will provide more information on last-minute preparations and will ask you about the arrival time.
