Joana Mourão is Architect (darq.FCTUC, 2001), postgraduate in Urban Planning and Design (FEUP, 2005) and PhD in Architecture - Dynamics and Urban Forms (FAUP, 2012). She has collaborated in research projects (LNEC, IST, ISCTE-IUL) about territorial ecology, urban planning and architecture. She was adviser on the evaluation of the impacts of territorial and urban planning and of urban and housing policies. She was lecturer in the PhD in Urbanism course at the Lusófona University of Lisbon, and guest lecturer at other Universities. Currently, holds an FCT postdoctoral fellow at IN + / IST and NUT-LNEC, developing research on environmental efficiency and cultural value of the built heritage at the scope of urban regeneration processes.
