Former PhD Candidate Technology Management and Policy

Emingarda Castelbranco is conducting her doctoral research in Science, Technology and Management Policy at IN+, within the MIT Portugal Program. She researches the Challenges and Perspectives of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation of Angola. With her work, she wants to present the Public and Private Institutions of Higher Education (HEI), Scientific Research and Technological Development (R&D), particularly with regard to their scientific and laboratory potential, in order to facilitate the establishment of personal and inter-institutional contacts, with a view to the establishment of Scientific Research teams and to strengthen internal collaboration, regional and international cooperation, and promote networking, in other words, this project is aimed to present the challenges regarding the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation and help to seek for perspective ways to overcome this challenges. She holds a MSc. in Molecular Biology from the University of Pernambuco-Brasil, and a Bachelor of Science-Applied Biotechnology from the University of the Western Cape-Cape Town-South Africa.
