Elaine Fabre is currently a doctorate researcher at the Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research, (IN+) of Instituto Superior Técnico, where she is working at the Mechanical Engineering Department with the application of nanofluids and ionanofluids in heat transfer processes. Her main areas of interest are nanofluids, ionic liquids, ionanofluids, pool boiling, heat transfer, cooling systems and water treatment.
She obtained her PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, in the branch of Product Engineering and Chemical Processes in 2019, from University of Aveiro, Portugal. During her PhD she worked on ion exchange and biosorption and bioaccumulation processes for water treatment and was member of CICECO and CESAM research centers. She holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Santa Catarina, Brazil (2015), and during her bachelor studies she was a visiting student at University of Barcelona, Spain.
