PhD Candidate Thermofluids, Combustion and Energy Systems

Carlos Miguel was trained as a mechanical engineer but has a diverse background.
With a Masters in Production and Project from University of Coimbra where he was consistently on the top 3% of the students and where he wrote a thesis on mathematical transfer in finite element simulation (DD3Trim, revised and augmented version). He also worked on computer vision, robotics and human-machine interaction in the Colrobot project. Additionally he diversified his education into economics, psychology, computer science, aeronautical engineering.
Currently, Carlos is PhD Candidate in the LTI-EDAM Program from MIT Portugal. He is currently working on hybrid propulsion systems for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles using hydrogen being supervised by Prof. Edgar Fernandes at IST and Prof. Douglas Hart from MIT.
