Benjamin Meindl


PhD Candidate Technology Management and Policy

Benjamin Meindl is conducting his doctoral research in Leaders for Technical Industries at IN+, within the MIT Portugal Program. He researches the implications of new technologies on employment in manufacturing. With his work, he wants to describe automation potential and changing demands of skills directly linked to emerging technologies. The insights will help companies to create a technology and talent strategy. Policymakers benefit from the findings when drafting industrial or employment policies. Before the PHD, Benjamin worked on various projects related to digital technologies as a consultant at McKinsey. He holds a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University Munich and a B.Eng. from the University of Applied Sciences in Regensburg.
