Sharing Cities and city of Lisbon launch Sharing Lisbon 07/11/2018

The Lisbon City Council and the Sharing Cities consortium will launch this Friday the APP Sharing Lisbon, which brings together citizens, businesses and governments in cities such as Milan and London, aiming to help improving cities. Sharing Lisbon is part of the European Union Sharing Cities program, in which IN+ participates.

The Sharing Cities project covers more than 100 counties across Europe and seeks to develop affordable solutions that result in commercial solutions with high market potential for smart cities. Sharing Lisbon APP explores gamification to foster sustainable behavior among citizens. By visiting local commerce, traveling by foot or bicycle or learning about energy efficiency or mobility, you can help an elementary school receiving funding for energy requalification of its buildings.

IST, through IN+ Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research, assumes the local leadership in the development of the strategy for monitoring and evaluating the implemented measures (energy efficiency in buildings, shared and electric mobility, charging stations, intelligent lamps, digital social market), also collaborating in activities of citizen involvement, characterization of energy use and design of business models.

The launch session of the APP and the signing of the Protocol of collaboration of the Digital Social Market between Lisboa E-Nova and the participating schools will take place on November 9 at 11:00 AM in the Archive Room of the City Hall, followed by a visit to the Showroom Sharing Cities.
