I am an Engineering passionate since 2005, when I enrolled Environmental Engineering in Instituto Superior Técnico, which provided me a wide sensibility on Sustainability. Since then, I have never stopped learning the importance of Engineering and I have discovered my passion: Energy Efficiency. After finishing my MSc Thesis in demand side management strategies for the residential sector, I got the opportunity to develop research at the MIT Portugal Program in a project that taught high school students and their families on how to adopt more efficient energy consumption behaviors. Following my eagerness to learn and to attract the best environment to boost my impact in the Energy Efficiency field, I enrolled in the MIT Portugal PhD Program in 2012, in the Sustainable Energy Systems field. Since then, I have started to develop research in the automation field to optimize the way energy is consumed and to educate the users about their consumptions.
