Rita de Carvalho Paleta
Rita Paleta has received her M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Energy, in 2009 from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal. Currently, she is pursuing the Ph.D. Degree in Sustainable Energy Systems, at the same institution, under the MIT-Portugal Program Sustainable Energy Systems focus-area.
Her research interests include sustainable energy development and rural electrification strategies and she is working on a project called Remote Autonomous Energy Systems, in partnership with Finertec Energia. She is also working in the IST version of the Polygeneration Energy Container, a joint venture of IST and KTH, Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden; this project is being developed under the European Institute of Technology - KIC InnoEnergy PhD School Program.
Aside from the PhD work, Rita is a member of the MIT Portugal Energy Club and, regarding the E3 Forum, she was a member of the Organizing Committee in its two past editions.
