22 October 2015: Lisbon energy transition to solar: How large can be made operational de use of solar technologies in Lisbon?

Lisbon, 22 October, 10h30-17h
Venue: EDAM Room, IST (Mech. Engng. Building II)

Objective: designing a technology feasibility plan, potential scenarios and policy tools in a time frame of 2, 5 and 10 years to foster the use of solar technologies in Lisbon in a way to change the current energy matrix.

Main questions to be addressed in the workshop:
  • Which limits for the transition to solar-based energy matrix in Lisbon?
  • How can the solar technical potential of Lisbon be mobilized into market realization?
  • Which exiting technologies, materials and sources?…learning from other experiences in Europe
  • Which capacity for local developments and endogenous innovation?
  • Which funding levels and needs for new regulatory and policy instruments?
