To discuss sample initiatives in Europe to promote
engineering design and product development strategies and to
advise on future actions to be taken in Portugal to foster
design for innovation. Emphasis will be given to Industrial
Design Curriculum Development, Design for Sustainable
Products and Sustainable Systems Design, with particular
attention to current programmes in Sweden, and The
Netherlands. The discussion will be oriented in terms of
perspectives and opportunities for Portugal, and will
consider the particular aspects of the autoparts industrial
sector.
The Workshop is organized in collaboration with the Project
INAUTO, "Innovation for the autoparts industry".
