About the presenters:

John Edson – As president of Lunar, John's primary responsibilities are to cultivate the innovative spirit, structure programs for clients, and help shape Lunar’s image for the world. John has been at Lunar since graduating from Stanford with a master's degree in product design in 1993, working in engineering, project management and marketing.
Lunar’s success in creating beautiful, relevant products is reflected in the recognition it has received, including being named by Business Week as one of the top ten award-winning American industrial design firms. Lunar’s clients include start-ups and Fortune 500 companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Palm, Apple Computer, Philips, Oral-B (Braun), Motorola, and Sony. (www.lunar.com)

Antoni Flores started his career as Industrial Designer in Barcelona, 1987, earning recognition for works that were selected for the MOMA collection (New York). In 1990 he formed Flores & Associats with a philosophy of integrated design and engineering to provide product development services for the industry. The consistent successes with projects for well known brand names led to the consolidation of an idea that went beyond product development to turnkey capability. Competences acquired in product strategy and logistics set the foundation for Competitive Design Network as his new firm was named. In 1999 CDN expanded with new offices in Paris and Oporto.

José Manuel dos Santos is the Managing Director of CDN International in Portugal. With a taste for the educational experience he acquired in the U.S. and U.K., José Manuel returned to Portugal in 1993 after earning a Masters degree from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. His career moved from NovoDesign where he reached an Executive Director position, to granDesign as founding partner and now, his venture with CDN International. He also teaches courses on Creativity & Innovation and Industrial Marketing at I.S.L.A.
